(More customer reviews)The software installed easily. I soon discovered that many advertised features did not work with Outlook 2000. Franklin has since upgraded the software with a patch available on the internet. I recently upgraded the software which has now turned hot sync into a nightmare. Addresses are deleted from my contact list. Bogus entries titled 'unnamed' are entered into my palm. Some appointments are deleted, some are duplicated.
I am on the verge of uninstalling the software and using something else. Don't waste your money and time. Buy something else.

Calendar Creator Version 12 Deluxe Review

(More customer reviews)Calendar Creator has the potential to be the best calendar/scheduling program on the market - BUT Version 9 is probably the best so far. Unfortunately, instead of fixing previous problems and enhancing the product, the creators put out upgrades which just add more graphics and "fluff" WITHOUT concentrating on making the basic program better. And, in some cases, they even REMOVE PREVIOUS functions that were terrific!
They have lost many buyers like me who used to upgrade almost every year. This program really needs to have creators who are serious about realizing the full potential of this program - which would increase their sales (and upgrade buyers) by 100-fold.

Time & Bill Professional Review

(More customer reviews)For some reason, I can not find decent billing software for any price. I am not looking for anything complex. I want to send out 10-20 bills a month, and track and bill receivables. I think this is an easy task. So I was excited to get this program.
I spent 2 hours, 1 telephone call and 3 emails just to get the program installed and put my name and address in the system. I wanted to add 1 client and send a prior balance bill out. After 2 more hours I was unable to do this.
Frustration took over and I quit. I saw a lot of screens, but none of them were helpful. I continue my quest for reasonable billing software.

(More customer reviews)Franklin Planner 7.1 was to upgrade Ascend 4 that I'd been using since 1995. The new program has only a subset of the features the older program had. Ascend 4 worked great, but recent changes in my work Windows XP environment was causing Ascend to be terminated at odd times. The new program comes with converters for Ascend 5 AND for Ascend 4, except the Ascend 4 converter is missing one 16 bit .DLL file. Calls to Covey only resulted in "We no longer support this software". One .DLL, that's all I needed. My last Franklin Covey software. If I'm to manually enter my info from Ascend 4 into another program, it won't be any of theirs!

Circus Ponies Notebook 3.0 Review

(More customer reviews)I am an avid note-take, both for my engineering job and as a freelance writer. I used MS OneNote when I had a PC, but when I migrated to a Mac, I was left searching for a suitable replacement. I have used Aquamind's NoteTaker and NoteShare for the last several months. But that program is so burdensome to use, I just couldn't take it any more. I finally landed on Notebook, which has been a great fit. It is similar to the Aquaminds product, but much easier to use and works better with Mac OS X. So far it has integrated perfectly with Address Book, Mail, Grabber, Services, and other Mac system elements. Some of the best features are stickies and flags, as well as the Multidex, which creates an index of your Notebook on the fly using several different parameters (e.g., capitalized words, highlighted text, check boxes, flags, web clippings, attachments, etc.). This allows me to quickly find project information, web clippings, etc. Notebook also allows you to record audio notes, and if you take notes or type while audio is recorded, it keeps track of where during the audio the typing was done. Another very neat feature is that you export a full Notebook as an interactive web page and it behaves very similarly to the actual notebook. I have used this when I wanted to send project notes to a colleague. I exported the notebook and he was able to work it in his browser. Notebook also syncs to-dos with iCal, but I don't use this feature very much. I use Things for my To-Dos, which is a great program is you have lots of tasks and projects with a multitude of To-do's.
What about areas for improvement? The program acts a little funky sometimes when I use OS X's spelling corrector on the fly. The program will occasionally appear to freeze, but it does come back to life. There are other program tweaks that would be nice, but they are not significant enough to list out here. Notetaker has just the right features and is just comprehensive enough to not get in the way of taking notes.

Franklin Covey Plan Plus Software Review

(More customer reviews)I initially installed Plan Plus with no difficulties. After 10 minutes or so of 'playing around' to get to know it better, Outlook 2002 crashed with a message regarding Plan Plus and Add-in manager. After that it didn't work at all. I tried first to "repair" it, lwhich didn't work, and then uninstalled it, but the reinstall failed as well. I then tried to reach Franklin via the on-line chat, but after 15-20 minutes of waiting I gave up. I then sent Franklin an email, summarizing all the steps I had taken, as well as Outlook messages, but they never responded.
My take is that Frankling does not consider robust software nor customer support to be either Urgent or Important.

As a freelance translator, I just do not know how I could manage dealing with such a great deal of tight deadlines, appointments, and tasks without this wonderful personal and business organizer before. I have clients in different parts of the world. Well, this application allows me to create a customized clock so that I know exactly what time a translation work should be delivered in a certain country. It can remind me of literally everything I need to do by means of alarms, e-mails sent to whomever I decided it should be sent to, helps me control my expenses, and I can even copy and paste any reminder from anywhere. Instead of trying to look for an important event e-mail, I can just copy and paste it to my daily agenda and... voilà! What about the password section? Today, with so many passwords to remember everywhere, I may choose to make a list of my passwords (and they are not visible to anyone; rather, they are showed as asterisks, for safety purposes, of course). I do enjoy those handy sticky notes and the schedule tickers. The latter shows a continuous line as if I were in the New York Stock Exchange reminding of any important event. Well, most of appointments are that important. So, why risk losing thousands of dollars trusting in my own memory if I have such an impressive tool to reach my goals? I now have my personal assistant. I just cannot imagine working without organization and this is what AnyTime Organizer does for me. I can schedule literaaly and virtually anything anytime. There so many features to be used. I have discovered the ones I have described here after using the program for two days only. It is worth the small investment indeed. I can assure you and I hope anyone seeking more organization can benefit of AnyTime Organizer Deluxe 12! It's risk-free. Try it! Your organization skills and performance have never had this chance of being enhanced before. Apart from this, you can really count on their technical support. Matt Moran is such a highly qualified profesional. My doubts vanished in no time! Individual Software is really there when you need them.
